Rate Cases

CA Energy Consulting assists clients with rate case development by combining strategic vision, expertise in the economics and incentives of pricing, and strong technical competence.  We help utilities to identify rate case objectives and to navigate the trade-offs. Our assistance helps utilities identify long-term goals and plan a smooth transition to them.

CA Energy Consulting focuses as well on the presentation of the rate case.  We support utility rate case organization and the preparation of documentation, developing such documentation ourselves – including cost-of-service studies and rate design – and in responsive guidance and assistance throughout the filing and approval process. We tailor our effort to our clients’ needs, from narrow single-issue consultation to comprehensive rate case stewardship support from strategy through filing preparation, including testimony, to hearings and final orders.
