    Load and Energy Forecasting

Driven by advances in solar technology and conservation, as well as a slowly growing economy, the current outlook for energy demand facing electric utilities is dramatically lower. Uncertainty around this lower baseline level, however, is considerably greater. For utilities, the consequences of incorrect assumptions about future demand levels has also increased.

Our forecasting experts take account of recent developments in forecasting, giving close attention to the development and construction of data. We review and provide reasoned critique of utility forecast methods, we develop and apply advanced, specialized forecast models of industrial sectors, and we testify on behalf of electric utilities with regards to short- and long-term sales forecasts within rate case proceedings.

"We have had a very good working relationship with CAEnergy and Robert Camfield for many years and note that you gave us some valuable insight on techniques for modeling weather impacts in our electric forecasts. We have your company listed as a 'consultant of record' and would not hesitate to engage CA Energy for rates, regulatory, competitive analysis, and forecast modeling support. "
