Whether you are new to wholesale electricity markets or interested in a refresher course to prepare for the upcoming week of high-level sessions, the Transmission and Wholesale Markets School’s Boot Camp is designed for your needs. The Boot Camp is a three-hour session focused on the functions and operation of power systems and markets, which is laced with descriptions of the conventional activities of electric utilities. Topics covered include financing and corporate structure, an overview of pricing and tariffs, and the regulatory environment in which utilities operate. The Boot Camp discussion will be led by EEI’s Jim Fama and Christensen Associates Energy Consulting’s Robert J. Camfield, who together bring over 60 years of utility regulatory experience to the classroom.  There is a $295 additional fee associated with this pre-event.
