Mark is the Manager of Demand Response Program Development for Southern California Edison (SCE). His current responsibilities include strategic oversight, program design, implementation, and regulatory compliance for SCE's demand response and direct load control programs. He was the developer of the SCE Energy OrbSM and the SCE Energy$mart ThermostatSM program, is currently procuring long term third party demand response programs for SCE’s 2009-2011 program cycle. He has developed the SCE AutoDR program, the Permanent Load Shifting program, Community, Agricultural Outreach, and Federal Energy Partnership programs, the demand response Technical Assistance/Technical Incentives, and the demand response Emerging Markets programs, being conducted in concert with other California utilities and the state’s regulatory agencies.
Mark is a member of the technical advisory committees for the Demand Response Research Center and the Demand Response Enabling Technology Development project at CIEE, and is on the boards of the Association of Professional Energy Managers, the Peak Load Management Association, the Advanced Load Control Alliance, and the Association of Energy Services Professionals. He lives in La Canada Flintridge and has been with SCE for 23 years.
